Ms. Anuja Sood

Born in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. Did 10+2 from Punjab School Education Board Chandigarh, Graduated with Honours from Punjab University Chandigarh and thereafter obtained degree of Law from H.P. University in the year 1995. Enrolled as an Advocate with Bar Council of Himachal Pradesh and practiced in Courts at Mandi, Chamba and Dharmshala apart from appearing before the Administrative Tribunal at Mandi and Shimla. Selected in Judicial Services in the year 2000. While serving as Judicial Officer passed L.L.M. examination from Kurukshetra University in December, 2010. Remained Executive Member & Joint Secretary of Himachal Pradesh Judicial Officers Association. Also remained Assistant Editor of Indian Law Reporter (HP Series). During the Judicial Services remained posted as Civil Judge-cum-Judicial Magistrate at Mandi, Nadaun, Hamirpur and in Shimla as Civil Judge Senior Division, before being transferred and posted as Civil Judge (Senior Division) Theog. Remained posted as Deputy Director in Himachal Pradesh Judicial Academy, Shimla from 27.08.2013 to 30.06.2015 and thereafter as Chief Judicial Magistrate at solan. Joined as Additional Secretary(Law) to the Government of Himachal Pradesh on 05.05.2016. Thereafter, remained posted as Additional District & Sessions Judge at Rampur Bushahr w.e.f. 03.12.2018 to 12.08.2021 and Additional District & Sessions Judge at Sundernagar, District Mandi w.e.f. 13.08.2021 to 31.03.2023. Upon, placement as District and Sessions Judge, remained posted as Registrar, Lokayukta, Himachal Pradesh w.e.f. 03.04.2023 to 09.05.2024. Thereafter, remained posted as Presiding Officer, Labour Court-cum- Industrial Tribunal Shimla w.e.f. 09.05.2024 to 14.04.2026. Presently, upon transfer joined as District and Sessions Judge in Civil and Sessions Division, Chamba on 16.04.2026.
